About the Waiting Room

The Waiting Room project launches in an empty unused bus station waiting room in a run down area of St Botolph’s - a building that once served as the heart beat of Colchester Town Centre.

Working together we want to uncover and support the town’s cultural heritage, Specifically we want to identify and address the gaps in the local cultural offering, utilising the space to test new ideas and alternative community-led facilities and services that can fill the void.
Under the banner of ‘St Botolph’s’ we will work together to create a shared creative identity for Colchester and build a community group that can own, cherish, protect and carry that identity forward on behalf of the town.
