Letterpress Takeover #8 (Maker Wednesday)

All of our letterpress takeover speakers have been inspiring, but we think that Simon Goode of the London Centre for Book Arts is going to be one of our best yet.

Simon founded the LCBA a few years ago in East London, and the project has gone from strength to strength ever since. We’re particularly interested to hear out about the pleasures and pitfalls of a public-access letterpress studio!

As usual, our Adana will be in action, this time in collaboration with local publishers Dunlin Press to celebrate the release of their book ‘Est: Collected Reports from East Anglia’. If we’re especially lucky they might be able to reveal some details about their next top-secret project…

WHAT IS MAKER WEDNESDAY?
Maker Wednesdays are held every week. They are free and informal workshop and show & tell sessions held at the St Botolph’s Waiting Room. They are open to everyone of all ages, backgrounds and skills and cover an array of ‘Maker’ themes. From contemporary creative industries to traditional craft

The aim is to provide a flavour of what’s on offer at our Hack/Maker/Library/Space. A shared workshop environment, accessed via a pay what you can membership scheme.
