Men in Sheds & Gardens

A weekly day time event hosted in association with Age UK Colchester.

Organised in conjunction with our own Maker Space and weekly Maker Wednesday events, we provide an opportunity for men to get together and access a workshop facility in the centre of town, where tools and skills can be shared and work in progress projects can be stored.

We are currently in a pilot phase supporting Age UK Colchester to test the feasibility for a permanent space in the Hythe area.

The Men in Sheds movement began in Australia when men realised they could meet regularly and take on practical tasks in a permanent ‘workshop’. From carpentry to gardening, we have a selection of projects for everyone, or alternatively you can bring your own or just join us for a cuppa in the Cafe.
