Are you a local maker, food producer, designer, artist, hacker, mender, craft person or artisan?

Are you interested in joining a consortium of peers to self organise Colchester’s finest Bazaar?

We want Traders to take control!

Bazaar will be a grass roots edgy dynamic event where the community can shop, feast, dance while interacting with local makers and stock up their cupboards with the very best that Colchester and our surrounding areas have to offer.

Got something to demo? Great! We want this to be an immersive, interactive shopping experience where you can build lasting relationships with The Waiting Room Community.

Pitches are super cheap at just £10 (with long term prices to be set by the traders as a collective going forward - allowing for collective marketing and entertainments)

Your pitch price includes a fresh coffee first thing lovingly prepared by our Resident Barista before opening— socialise, get to know your peers and discuss how the event can be improved month on month.

Join the Bazaar

    The Waiting Room as a non profit making enterprise can maintain a free venue by generating its income from the Café/Bar to sustain the space. The cost per market day is £10.00; this includes the pitch and a tea/coffee. Set up before 10am followed by Shared Trader's Meeting. Market open from 11am-4pm. It is expected that Traders will take ownership of and responsibility for setting up, running and promoting the market collectively going forward.

    I think many of these dates clash with festivals and bank holidays so I will need to check which ones I can do once I get home. For now I am submitting an application to show a committed interest. Thank you x
