Vinyl Printing with Paul Couling - Maker Wednesday
July 2 @ 19:30 - 21:30
This week will be hosted by a local designer, vinyl cutter & t-shirt printer Paul Couling. Paul is bringing his cutter along so you can find out more about the process, have a go printing your own designs, and practice applying it.
The session
For the first half of the session, Paul is going to showcase what he does, introduce the printer and demonstrate printing and applying vinyl.
For the second half you can print out your own designs and have a go applying it. Send in a design beforehand, bring it along or design on the night. Don’t forget to bring along something to stick it to.
What can it stick to?
We recommend buying a kilner bottle or jar available at Wilkos or the Range. You can bring anything that has a non-porous smooth surface such as a window, glass, mirror, tile, smooth metal, or wood that is sealed.
Your design
We have five colours for you to choose from: dark green, light green, red, silver, black / white
Please note:
Design it like a paper stencil
One colour
No larger than 30cm
The simpler the better - we cannot print an intricate design
Words and logos work best
You have three options for printing:
* Send in your design to Paul before hand
* Bring your design on the night
* Draw a design on the night and we can scan it in, edit it and print on the night (Please not: This will take the longest and we may run out of time)
Email your designs to Paul: info (at)cultzeros.co.uk
He can also answer your questions and give advice on your ideas / designs
All welcome!

Maker Wednesdays provide a flavour of what’s on offer at our Hack/Maker/Library/Space.
Every week we host an informal workshop open to everyone of all ages, backgrounds and skills. From wiring your own circuit to learning how to use a knitting machine, with access to new tools, knowledge and resources, we want to encourage local people to share or learn new creative skills.
You are always welcome to bring your own project along and work in a shared environment. Our format makes it easy to participate and allows for peer-to-peer knowledge exchange in a fun light hearted environment.
Community Manager Alex Davis is passionate about all things craft and helps co-host the session. She’s a regular fixture so pop along to say hello and find out more.
