Learn to cook the ultimate Sunday roast
To ease us into the Autumn and through to Winter I am very excited to start offering weekly Sunday Roasts at the Waiting Room. I have really enjoyed and am grateful for all the customer support during my residency here.
To help me continue to grow and offer an increased variety of dishes each week, it’s time for me to recruit an assistant. As with any new start up this is a rather daunting and significant leap of faith for The Game Keeper’s Daughter, not only the financial commitment but also the finding the right personality to have in what is a very unique kitchen with direct interaction with customers.
To start I am offering 2x Placements lasting three months each with the view that at least one of the positions will turn into paid permanent position. Each placement will work every other Sunday as a volunteer, but with a number of excellent incentives to ensure the experience is a fair exchange for both sides. There is a genuine potential for at least one of the roles to become permanent and paid and the successful candidates will become a key part of The Game Keeper’s Daughter team building the ultimate Sunday Roast experience.
The role will suit someone with a small amount of kitchen experience with aspirations to work in the catering industry.
I am bartering your time with the following incentives:
- Full lunch and drinks
- Learn to cook all aspects of the ultimate roast
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification (enabling you to work in any kitchen)
- Meet the Game Keeper
- Regular Foraging Trips
- Front of house restaurant training
- Opportunity to input on menu planning
- Invited to regular Waiting Room team gatherings
- Free subscription to an all new Waiting Room Membership package providing discounts at the Bar and special events
To apply for this opportunity email your CV to [email protected] with a covering letter answering the following questions:
- Why are you applying for this position?
- What are your aspirations for the future?
- What is your ultimate Sunday Roast?
- What do you think it will be like working in the Waiting Room Kitchen and why does this appeal to you?
- What do you think you can contribute to the Game Keeper’s Daughter & the Waiting Room team?
I look forward to reading your applications.
